'Back to the Future' Stars Signing Autographs March 6

FLORENCE, Ala. - Several stars from the 1985 hit film "Back to the Future" will hold an autograph session from 9 to 11 a.m. March 6 at the Shoals Chamber of Commerce, 20 Hightower Place, Florence. Actors James Tolkan and Claudia Wells will be available for the entirety of the session, and actor Lea Thompson will be available from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Writer/producer Bob Gale will hold a separate signing from 4 to 5 p.m. March 5 at the House of Heroes comic store on E. Mobile Street in downtown Florence.The autograph sessions are part of this year's George Lindsey UNA Film Festival, which is celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Back to the Future." The celebration will include a reunion of several of the film's stars - Gale, Thompson, Tolkan and Wells - which will be held at 7 p.m. March 5 at the historic Shoals Theatre. Tickets are $17 and are available at www.lindseyfilmfest.com or at the UNA Bookstore. The "Back to the Future" celebration will also include four public appearances of an exact working replica of the famous DeLorean time machine, complete with flux capacitor and functional circuit displays.
