Intelligent.com Ranks Masters In Elementary Education Program

The University of North Alabama has been recognized for having one of the best online Master's in Elementary Education Degree Programs in the nation for 2020 by Intelligent.com. From the forty ranked universities, UNA's Education-Master of the Arts (M.A. Ed.) program earned number fifteen with an Intelligent score of 86.54.

"UNA's Educator Preparation Program is committed to high-quality, affordable degree programs that provide opportunities for educators to enhance their professional practice. The master's degree in Elementary Education is delivered by faculty committed to the belief that all elementary students should have access to excellent teachers," said College of Education and Human Sciences Dean, Dr. Katie Kinney. "Equipping teachers with the tools needed to confront challenges in today's classroom is critical to meeting our goal of making a positive impact on children in elementary schools across our region and state."

The Intelligent Score is conducted by combining the predetermined Program Strength, Online Readiness, Return of Investment, Cost, and Student Engagement scores. To conduct the ranking, Intelligent.com assessed 188 accredited institutions in the nation on the curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment on a scale of 0-100. In the end, forty schools made it to the final list. The yearly rankings are calculated through a system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment, and leading third party evaluations.

UNA's Master's in Elementary Education Degree prepares students to be leaders as well as qualified educators. The program's emphasis on analyzing and solving problems provides students with the opportunity to support a variety of learners in the classroom. UNA's Department of Elementary Education offers multiple Master's Degree options online to accommodate practicing teachers.
