Tickets Now On Sale For Film Festival Events

FLORENCE, Ala. - Tickets for the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival's Salute to George Lindsey and Awards Show and After Party are now on sale at Coffee-ol-ogy in the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, The Wine Cellar at 324 N. Court Street in Florence, and the UNA Bookstore. Reserve tickets are available by calling 256-765-4592. The Salute to George Lindsey will be held March at 7 p.m. in the banquet halls of the UNA Guillot University Center. General-admission tickets are $10. UNA student tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the UNA Bookstore. The annual Awards Show and After Party will be March 5 at 7 p.m. at the UNA Culinary Center on the university's East Campus, 1640 Tune Avenue, Florence. General-admission tickets are $15. UNA student tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the UNA Bookstore. The 14th annual George Lindsey UNA Film Festival will be held March 3-5 in Florence. It is one of the few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 in part by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer George Lindsey. Lindsey's own film career has included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show."
