Una Presents Fall Choral Showcase Oct. 25

FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama Department of Music and Theatre will present its annual Fall Choral Showcase Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, located between Martin's Family Clothing on Darby Drive and Florence Clinic. The concert will feature the Collegiate Singers, Chamber Choir, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble in an eclectic, moving and fun choral program directed by Dr. Ian Loeppky and accompanied by Jessica Nelson. The Collegiate Singers is a group of selected singers that acts as the premiere choral ensemble on the UNA campus, while the Chamber Choir is an elite group of singers chosen from the Collegiate Singers that presents a number of concerts and events on and off campus. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a small group of singers chosen from the Collegiate Singers that explores jazz, pop and world music. Admission to the Fall Choral Showcase is $5 for students and senior citizens and $7 for adults. For more information about the event, contact the Department of Music and Theatre at 256-765-4516.
