FLORENCE, AL - The Women of Action Speaker Series on the University of North Alabama campus is set to launch Feb. 17. The series is sponsored by Community Service and Outreach, the Mitchell-West Center for Social Inclusion, and the Center for Women's Studies.

"When the series began in the Fall of 2020, we wanted to showcase women in the community who excel in areas of civic engagement, education, business, and leadership," said Dr. Andrea Hunt, Founding Director of the Mitchell-West Center for Social Inclusion and Special Assistant to the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. "This group of women is equally as talented and have contributed a great deal to the success of our community."

This semester's notable speakers include:

    • Tori Bailey, Feb. 17, at 5:30 p.m.
    • Chelsea Kauchik, March 17, at 5:30 p.m.
    • Andrea Holt, April 21, at 5:30 p.m.

Each presentation will be via Zoom, and registration can be found at www.una.edu/socialinclusion/events, and additional information is at www.una.edu/womensstudies.
