Una Professor Of Music To Present In World Premiere

FLORENCE, Ala. - Dr. Terrance Brown, assistant professor of music and director of vocal studies at the University of North Alabama, will perform as a baritone soloist in the world premiere of "Sinfonia da Requiem" with the Tuscaloosa Symphony as part of the Ode to Joy: Tuscaloosa Remembers and ReBuilds concert April 2 at 7 p.m. Written by composer Joseph Landers, "Sinfonia da Requiem" was commissioned to recognize the one-year anniversary of the devastating tornadoes that ravaged Tuscaloosa on April 27 of last year, as well as the community's efforts to rebuild since the storm's destruction. During the same program, Brown will perform the baritone solo part for Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9 in D, Op. 125." The concert will be held in Moody Hall at the University of Alabama School of Music.
