UNA's Summer Commencement Graduates more than 300

FLORENCE, AL - Summer commencement ceremonies at the University of North Alabama took place Saturday at Norton Auditorium, with the graduate student ceremony at 9 a.m. and the undergraduate student ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Approximately 340 students applied for graduation, and around 230 participated in Saturday’s event.

The Keller Key is awarded at each commencement to the graduating senior(s) who has achieved the highest scholastic standard while at UNA. One student was honored for her academic achievement. She is:

  • Meleah Kim Hargett, of Hayden, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. On a 4.00 scale, her grade point average is 3.68. 

Minimal COVID precautions were in place during the ceremony as graduates and guests were encouraged to use self-responsibility. Graduates were allowed a maximum of six guests, and the graduate and their guests were required to check in as a group.
