FLORENCE, AL – The third UNAfied Dinner, a showcase of the creative culinary skills of students in the Jeff Eubanks Culinary Arts Management program at the University of North Alabama is scheduled for Thursday, April 25 at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center.

Co-hosted by the Jeff Eubanks Culinary Arts Management program and the Marriott Shoals Hotel and Spa, the event is an opportunity for the community to enjoy the mastery of the students in the program as they work with chefs from UNA and the Marriott to create a four-course meal. The dinner also serves as a fundraiser for the Jeffrey Charles Eubanks Endowment fund established in February 2020 at the time of Eubanks’ passing.

“It is a great honor to have the opportunity to work with our students on their dinner project,” said Einar Gudmundsson, a chef as well as Associate Professor in the program. “It is exciting to see how they apply their skills and techniques as well as their creativity throughout the semester to create an exquisite menu for a fine-dining event. This event is also a great way for the students to show off their work and to raise scholarship fur future Culinary Arts Management and Hospitality and Events Management students.”

UNA culinary arts students in Food Prep III have been working throughout the semester on creating a fine-dining menu in preparation for the UNAfied Dinner. In addition to creating and executing the meal, students in the Hospitality and Events courses will be servers for the event.

The Dinner will begin at 5:30 with cocktail hour and hors d’ouuvres, followed by dinner service at 6:30. Entertainment will be provided by jazz musicians Brad Guin and Clayton Ivey.
