UNA Inducts Four into Alumni Greek Hall of Fame

FLORENCE, AL – Four University of North Alabama alumni will be inducted into the inaugural Greek Hall of Fame as part of the upcoming 50th anniversary weekend celebrating Fraternity and Sorority Life at UNA. 
 
“Our panel of judges spent a long time reviewing our many applications, and we are thrilled with those who have been selected for this inaugural class,” said Anna Leigh Rossi, Director of Fraternity and Soroity Life. “They are great representatives of their organizations, but they also live out the ideals of fraternity and sorority members of service to others and their communities.”
 
The inductees are:
•       Michael Anthony, Phi Gamma Delta, was initiated into the Phi Upsilon chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) in 1994. He is a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is employed by the city as the Director of Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management. 
•       Larry Softley Jr., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., was initiated as a member of the Kappa Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in 1985 and has been an active member of the Shoals community and Alpha Phi Alpha for the past 39 years.
•       Rebecca Batchelor Reeves, Phi Mu, is a charter member of the Theta Alpha chapter of Phi Mu and was initiated in 1973, the same year fraternity and sorority life was founded at UNA. She lives in Russellville and is an avid public servant.
•       Malaea Nelms Seleski, Zeta Tau Alpha, was initiated into the Eta Rho chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha in 1988 and has been active in the ZTA and National Panhellenic Conference since her graduation in 1991.
 
They will be formally recognized at the Greek Alumni Mixer on April 19, which is scheduled to take place at Harrison Plaza and Fountain from 5-7 p.m. Tickets for the event are still available at this link.
