FLORENCE, AL – For the sixth consecutive year, enrollment in the Master of Business Administration program in the College of Business and Technology at the University of North Alabama is the highest among all universities in the state. UNA’s program continues to top the list with 1,082 students enrolled for 2021, according to data release by the Birmingham Business Journal that details enrollment trends and statistics in Alabama.

“The continued growth of the Master of Business Administration program over the last six years is a testament to the quality of our MBA program,” said Dr. Greg Carnes, Dean of the College of Business and Technology. “We are the largest program in the state because we have the best faculty and staff in the state. Our current MBA students and MBA alums know this, and they are our best recruiters for encouraging their colleagues and friends to enroll at UNA.”

UNA’s enrollment places it at the top of the list, well ahead of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which is second on the list with 776 students enrolled. Auburn University is third on the list, with 740 students, while the University of Alabama has just 345 students and ranks fourth.

“Due to its quality, affordability, and flexibility, it comes as no surprise that UNA’s MBA program is, by far, the largest in the state of Alabama for the sixth consecutive year,” said Dr. Ross Alexander, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. “UNA is a leader in online education, and the MBA is our showcase program.”

The Birmingham Business Journal is a Birmingham-based publication that focuses on business news throughout Alabama.
